something about putu halba

actually bringing the putu halba didn't have anything to do with selling/promoting myself to the parents. i sell myself using my words, and attitude. "be in your natural colour."

it was just that: it was a custom in my family (or others' families as well) to bring something, anything to the house that we are visiting.

when i was younger, my granny would bring a pack or two of sugar to the house we were visiting. at that time, i thought that bringing something was just merely a custom; adat of showing gratitude or something, until one day in my matriculation years, the well known ust. maszlee quoted a hadith of prophet muhammad sollallahu3laihiwasallam, which i forgot the matan, but the mafhum is: "bring something to the house you are visiting, even it's children of the stone (anak batu: LOL)"

there was some time when i brought a pack of ssekut merrie to abah's house, and his mother laughed when i, at that time, kinda unlikely to eat the ssekut i brought. she said: "there won't be bad elbow to you." (tak dop bburuk siku eh).

her mother said almost the same.

btw: contacting abah via sms: +919844408711 :20sen using maxis, and 50sen celcom per sms. he's waiting for his anatomy test result, i think.
