to be a good muslim [in malaysia], one have to follow al-quran and as-sunnah in doing ibadah.


however, practicing as-sunnah [in malaysia] will make you a follower of wahabi and you will be rejected by most (can i say orthodox?) malaysians that consider themselves real muslims, who claim themselves to be the true followers of as-syafie rahimahullah. so, in order not to be isolated and accused as wahabi, you have to stick to the local customized and tradition assimilated syafie's teaching; 100%. then we rephrase this:

but, practicing al-quran makes you backward. for example, al-quran teaches you not to commit adultery, don't take liquor, riba' and else. dude, now is the new millennium laa. those "cannot this cannot that" laws only applicable for that time ssey. today, you have to think like the modern agers think. think like the west. use your logic. do you want to waste your youth? want your hand to be cut off? hell no, right? then we have to re-rephrase this:


to be a good muslim [in malaysia], one have to use logic and stick to the local customized islamic teaching in practicing the ibadah.
