boring classes
adi putra is about to be expelled from his school, for his guilt: being a genius. when i read this news, i remembered what happened years ago, when my younger brother was in his standard one.
he did not want to go to school, because for him, school is boring, except for the pendidikan jasmani. what do you expect from a boy that knew how to read when he was five (adi putra read at three) and solving standard six mathematics questions at six?
so, the story went on: he did not want to go to school. and even if he did go, he would not be in the class; wandering around. what more my parents could have done? it was him to be blamed for not being in the class learning how to read and write. to be blamed for learning in advanced.
until one day, his older sister (my younger) called from school, crying. she was interrogated by teachers: why your brother did not want to be in class? why this? why that? and as the only brother home, i went to the school. what did i found? my brother's bag and books were on the floor outside of the class, and the teacher was scolding him. what else can a 7-year-0ld boy could do other than cry?
" kalau tak nak masuk kelas, balik rumah jaga ayam itik lembu kambing. menyusahkan orang betul!"
i will never forget the phrase, and the teacher's face. and name.
as time passed by, as an alternative, my parents encouraged him to be active in co-curricullar activities, so that he would not be in where he disliked most: the boring classes. then, there he was: on the field, or court, or hall when others were in the class, for most of his school time. he was the pride of the school; both in academics and co-curricular.
he is currently studying in MRSM kuala krai, and still like the old days; for him, class is boring.

Forget who to be blame. In old days, ppl like ur brother or Adi Putra is quickly 'kidnapped' by Islamic scholars (ulama'). They teach him Islam and take care of them from falling into bad companies. Genius ppl r blessings of God. But nowadays' system leave those from the back classes learning Islam...alas
Wow, u got a pretty good brother..What they call it? Child prodigy? MRSM? They used different system from ordinary school (SMKA or SMK)!! It's pretty tough, and stressful. Good luck for him, kem salam kat dia ek!
