"gimme the phone." [got the cellphone, inhale, and] "listen here u dammit! who gives u the right to play with her feelings?"

"she misunderstood-"

"misunderstood what? you messages were sooo obvious! listen-"

"but i didn't mean to-"

"hey! hey! listen! whatever you have done to her, don't; i repeat; do not do it to any other girl out there. she-"

tooot-tooot-tooot-tooot-tooot

"damn!"

moral: save ur credit. stop unnecessary teasing heart-throbbing playful heart-breaking wuteva messages.

DIY WiFi antenna

A: You've probably heard of the Wi-Fi antennas made from old Pringles cans, but those are tricky to build and often require special connectors and soldering. A much easier option is a parabolic reflector antenna. You can whip one together using an old shoe box, tape and some aluminum foil in about 30 minutes, and it will double or triple the range (in a single direction) of just about any wireless access point with an external stick antenna. It works by simply creating a large surface area that the antenna uses to receive and transmit signals.

First, cut two parabolic curves from cardboard, and cut a hole at the focal point of each just big enough to fit over your access point's antenna. These curves keep the reflector in its proper shape. Next, cut a piece of cardboard roughly nine inches square, and cover one side with aluminum foil. Shape the square sheet over the two curved pieces, foil facing in, and tape everything together. Try to get the reflector to fit to the parabolic curve closely, as deviations of even a quarter of an inch can reduce its effectiveness. Finally, slide the completed apparatus over your access point's stick antenna.

geobacter sulfurreducens

Amherst (MA) - Scientists studying how a class of micro-organism called Geobacter sulfurreducens generates electricity to help remove radioactive material such as uranium from ground water, have discovered they actually build conductive 3 - 5 nm "nanowires" whose length can be measured in microns.

akademi fantasia for idiots and dont-judge-a-book-by-its-cover theory

nights before i left the campus, i had my dinner at othman's. at that time, the akademi fantasia concert was on the astro 'idunnowhat' channel. this was the first time i watched the show, for i didn't have any concern about the show. in front of the 36 inches flat tv, sat a bunch of 'noisy' students, and tables at back, sat some pious-looking people, for they wore the kopiah.

the students in front of the tv were cheering loud, as loud as the tv could be. suddenly, the muadzzin from the surau below the cafe called for prayer. however, the noisy students didn't seem to move an inch, or to be silence, nor the pious looking. somethin was running on my mind at that time. about respect, and about somethin else. i finished my meal and went to the surau.

after finished praying, i went up back to look for a friend, and for my astonishment, the busy bunch was not there; in front of the tv anymore. perhaps they have gone praying, but the pious looking ones were still there, chatting and giggling, watching that 'tak mengembangkan minda' show.

i remembered the ustaz saying: answering the muadzzin is not by silence nor just answering verbally. answering the muadzzin is by joining the jum'ah prayers.

the dead man on the train

home finally, yay!!

18 hours earlier:
location: mahallat
che wan: when?
/me: tonite.
che wan: ticket?
/me: on the spot.
che wan: lamo doh ko buak khijo gilo ggini?
/me: rajin doh dulu, hehehe.
after checking out at the mahallat office, my senior suddenly appeared. "eh, amik gambar. mak teh nok."

then i backpacked my hiking bag to the bus stop, and wait. and wait and wait and wait.

-------
i boarded the train just minutes before it departed. switched on my cd player, read harry loraine's, lilah-lilah in the coache and zzzz.

after dabong station (time: dawn), a friend came and said,"tau doh?"
\me: what?
\he: someone died in my coache.
\me: what?
\he: an old chinese man. heart attack maybe.
\me: inna lillahi.
\he: his body will be boarded off at the next station.
\me: bawak bunga ah. hehehe
the policemen were already waiting at kuala krai station.

then, the journey continued. i arrived at wakaf bharu station about 8 am.
this tiring sleep-disturbing train journey lasted for 12 hours. kematu bontot.

moral of the journey:
1) me and you and everyone else can die anytime, anywhere.
2) walk in the coache to avoid economy-class syndrome.
3) travellers prayer (doa musafir) mudah makbul.
4) ride the bus to get home earlier.
5) how to spell 'koc' eh in english? or gerabak? it's not in the dictionary, well my dictionary.

yay!!

alhamdulilah, exam dah abis!! yay!!

now i can focus on my side-project (and it seems like i have to leave the soul cutter for a while).

the latest nonsense thing in UIA: you have to queue (read: line up!) to enter the library! i don't really bother queuing anyway. used to line up so many times. masa perhimpunan skolah dulu2, masa nak masuk kelas (angkat-jatuh, angkat-jatuh, senang diri, jaga sedia, hahaha), masa nak naik bas, masa nak masuk jamban bila berenti bas kat merapoh, et cetera. thus, who bothers?

actually, them people (lib. autorities) are trying the new (should i say) 'library entering' bar code reader machine, like the ones you use to board the lrt - minus the bar code.

but, i still think it is nonsense to line up to get into the library.
